I guess it was natural that I'd live the life of a Soloist. After all, when I was 21, I left my family, friends and the only life I knew in Scotland to move to America and to "the big city", New York, the dance capital of the world. I went to pursue my dream of dancing professionally.
It meant moving to, not only a city, but a country where I knew no-one.
I thrived on it. Being a soloist was always in my blood.
